I've spent six years doing the thing most people find hardest: starting conversations with strangers and turning them into clients. Cold outreach, appointment setting, direct sales, recruitment. I've done all of it and I'm genuinely good at it.

For three years I ran Growthi, a marketing agency in Sydney. I wound it down in March 2026 to move into an employed sales role full-time. While running it, I brought in all the new business myself, averaging 2-4 new clients a month through cold outreach, paid ads, direct calls, and referrals, and managed over 50 accounts from the initial pitch right through to retention.

I've been remote-first and self-managed since 2023. I don't need someone checking in on me to hit my numbers. Give me a target, a good product, and the tools to do the job.

I can start straight away. No notice period, nothing to tie up. I've already got a full home setup: proper microphone, good computer, a quiet dedicated workspace, and a professional backdrop if you need it on calls.

Sales & Marketing Director Apr 2023 – Mar 2026

  • Brought in all new business myself from day one, averaging 2-4 new clients a month through cold outreach, paid ads, direct calls, and referrals.
  • Ran outbound campaigns targeting service-based businesses, qualifying prospects by phone, handling objections, and closing over call and video.
  • Looked after 50+ client accounts from the initial pitch through to onboarding, ongoing management, and retention.
  • Ran Facebook and Instagram campaigns across 10+ client accounts at once, handling the creative, targeting, and budget to consistently hit lead volume targets.
  • Coached a small team of appointment setters on scripts, objection handling, and hitting their daily targets.
  • Set up pipeline tracking and automation in GoHighLevel, HubSpot, and Make.com to keep lead follow-up and client comms moving without things falling through the cracks.

  • Managed the full recruitment cycle across multiple industries, from sourcing and screening through to interview coordination and placement.
  • Worked closely with hiring managers to get clear on what they actually needed, then built out the job briefs and shortlists to match.
  • Kept a live talent pipeline going so we weren't starting from zero every time a new role came up.
  • Kept candidates in the loop throughout the process, which led to a lot of referrals and people coming back for future roles.
  • Developed recruitment strategies that consistently brought in quality candidates and kept hiring on schedule.
